This is my THIRD game jam and every time I say 'that was fun, never doing it again' and here I come rolling back to do it again.
This is actually the first time I've worked with someone I've done a game with before. @Troisnyx
I did the minority of the art, and she made all the cool looking things.
But Jesus was that a lot of programming.
Luckily the wonderful guys at HaxeFlixel made a program that's 100% worth plugging because it really is an amazing new and improved version of Flixel with multiplatform. It's just so cool to be able to change your export and BOOM you got a desktop version. Yay.

Guys, a Canadian friend of mine who suffers from Pico 2/Duke Nukem Forever (i.e. never gonna release the sequel) complex is finally releasing the sequel to his movie, Fantasize 2.
Basically, it's a surreal pseudo-horror thing with people going berserk on tiny people and stuff. It's weird, but it's also cool.
Anyways, this is his dream project, and we've got 12 hours to raise the final 1.5k.<
Please, please, PLEASE help and donate, if every person who reads this post donates $1, we'd be funded! Or you could donate a little more and get animated into the movie :D

Maybe.
So Game Jam 8 is a wrap, folks, and team Crystal Egg were PK Rockin' all the way home.
If you're able, and willing to get on a boat that might already be sinking, then I'll be happy to have you aboard!
Hey, if good music (among others) can help salvage a sinking ship, let's do stuff!
Heh heh...
Yea.
Anyways, so for the quarter of the competition we actually didn't have an artist, and we were all going to be subject to my wonderful pixel art.
Also, the game totally wasn't going to have jumping (Super Adventure Game Land much?)
Then TroisNyxEtienne found Hyptosis and both revealed their incredible ability to whip out great orchestral music and top notch art in a few hours.
Well, damn.
So I put in jumping.
This game went from a Boy named Cabin, to Baba Yaga sim 2012, to a fully animated moving cabin (with Baba Yaga riding on it, steering with a lollipop.)
And... Then this game happened.
Godammit Newgrounds, why is it every time I make a game, even with other people, it has to be about universal emotions?
Whatever.
So, hit up our entry:

And enjoy the Cabin Jam :D

This is quite literally the largest project I have attempted to date.
All in all, my file "dungeon.fla" was created on November 26th, 2011.
And here I am, almost a year later, and it's done.
It's finally done.
I wanted this to be something simple, and it really is, but it's also not - though every class has three skills, though there are three areas, you'd be hard pressed to see everything in one play through.
And even now, I want to add more, and I will add more, I just don't know what to add yet - it'll happen though.
So enjoy this, it's a labor of love, it's a labor of a lot of things.
This game took me through the strangest times, the best of times, and definitely the worst of times.
But in the end, it's a whimsical adventure, something everyone should enjoy, and something to ponder on till' the end.
