You really need to work on that mic static. Both you and her - I'm referencing the 'background noise' that disapears when the mic is turned off and ruins the flow, seperating the dialogue with jagged edges. It's very small things like that which make an otherwise solid animation seem a lot lower.

WooleyWorld responds:

Why you wanna do me like that, Squidly. I thought we were tight.

And in the end it's always just like Silent Hill 2

ClockworkPixel responds:

What? The dog was behind it?

Wow. Any word on a release date? This may just set the bar higher for any future Flash JRPG!

However, I think the name needs some work. And if you DO change it, try to go for something original.

For example, the best games have had the most interesting names:

Chrono Trigger
Persona
The World Ends With You
Secret of Mana

So it's easy to crap out a bad name like "Chronicles of Illyria: The Secret of the Moon Stones" and make this sound like right about every other game out there.

So yes, Fearless Fantasy needs to go and you're A-OK.

Hopefully the story is as good as the gameplay :D

SpikeVallentine responds:

Release date, not sure. It could be 1 - 2 months! Who knows!

Hahaha. Thank you dude. Your suggestion is priceless. Love your example, man.
Thanks man!

Pfft. Took them long enough to catch on with that Blast Processing.

Losers.

Infinetly Amazing

I don't even know where to start.
How about I begin with the fact that as my time on NG has progressed, it has become increasingly rare that I write a review, let alone a very positive one.

This is the exception.

With this single movie, you've managed to combine amazing animation, using techniques that no one man should be able to master all at once, an amazing song, for obvious reasons, and an amazing story, and you've managed to make all of them shine brighter then they ever have before.

This is the best claymation I've seen on the net, this is also one of the most well animated cross-animation style blends, and this is finally one of the best music videos I've ever seen, professional or not.

At the same time, you've also managed to exemplify Ratman's plight in a way that the original comic still couldn't, especially the final moments. It brings new concepts to the Portal universe, how one sacrifice can be completely ignored. It's not as if Chell and him will ever meet each other, but his hope for a better future compels him, and I've never seen that better portrayed then here.

I will do my part, however small it is, to make sure Gabe Newell sees this. He has to. This is just too good to be ignored, too good to be a hidden gem, too good to fall off the portal listings without some kind of special recognition. This is NOT a normal flash, this is far beyond that, it's something your Daily 5th place medal and 1,400 views will never be able to justify.

This is Sundance Film Festival material, and I'm not even remotely joking.

faceofdoomness responds:

This is perhaps one of the nicest reviews I have ever read in my years of submitting my contents online.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review that makes me feel warmer and fuzzier on the inside than a Wookie in the Caribbeans.

You say the Daily 5th and the 1400 view don't do it justice but I think you just did so with this single review. It's words like these that makes me want to continue to do what I love to do and do it better. :)

So once again, I am very grateful for your words of kindness and support.
And stay awesome. Though I'm pretty sure you will continue to do so.

In the event of the Rapture, I'm probably going to hell for writing this review.

Anyways, those earthquakes are pretty bad, but I thought we'd have Old Faithful erupt before anyone comes for any rapture.

Also, nice animation, it's clear it was done on short notice, but it's pretty good for that.

It's funny, I was thinking of that exact song playing during the "apocolypse" before I watched this yesterday, but could not come up with the name or where I heard it from, what is it?

captainTAICHOU responds:

the song is from mario rpg for super nintendo. It plays during the introduction.

Nice

Hopefully that girl that you're mocking won't take this too personally, assuming you're mocking a specific girl as well as everyone like this.

Anyways, I agree with that collab idea, but make it about Facebook in general, I would enter that.

Dosensuppen responds:

The girl I mock does not exist. If you read some past comments, I stated it. :P

Thanks for your review.

We hate you too

But you will be missed.
Wait... Didn't you guys say you were gonna dissolve like a year ago?

Oh, and Edd's doing quite fine.

TheStarSyndicate responds:

you moron

You nailed that ending

Dan, you've outdone yourself yet again.
Heh, isn't it funny that our flashes were sent in within an hour between each other or so?

Anyways, like I said, the awkwerd moment at the end was well executed, well done.

dogsinthecathouse responds:

ooh, that reminds me, I still have to write a review on your game! :)
Yeah, it's also interesting that the Mastermind 5 was submitted only moments before I submitted this cartoon.
I'm glad to hear that the ending was effective

I must say, out of all the "popular" artists on NG, you seem to be the funniest.

Anyways, good work as usual.
I'm gonna start laying off 10's because nothing is perfect.
